Literature Emerging from Clay Exhibit
October 2011
Dr. Ella Maria Ray is a professor of African/African American Studies at Metropolitan State College of Denver.
She states that Masks can provide visual language, symbols and signs based on their aesthetic. Some cultures rely on masks to imitate a dialogue with spirit, acknowledge a child's transformation into an adult, and mark the changing seasons.
This show is free and open to the public and is on display on Level 3.
Please stop by Blair-Caldwell and enjoy the entire exhibit.
